  • Job Title: Trainee Mechanical Engineer for VMC Machinist

  • Department: Manufacturing

  • Reports to: CNC Machine Shop Manager

  • Summary: The Trainee Mechanical Engineer for VMC Machinist will be responsible for learning the principles and practices of CNC machining, as well as the operation of CNC machines. The trainee will work under the supervision of a CNC Machinist and will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including:

  • Setting up and operating CNC machines

  • Programming CNC machines

  • Machining parts to specifications

  • Maintaining CNC machines

  • Ensuring the quality of machined parts

  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • Strong understanding of CNC machining principles and practices

  • Experience with CNC programming software

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Responsibilities:

  • Learn the principles and practices of CNC machining

  • Learn the operation of CNC machines

  • Program CNC machines
