Job Title: Trainee Mechanical Engineer for VMC Machinist
Department: Manufacturing
Reports to: CNC Machine Shop Manager
Summary: The Trainee Mechanical Engineer for VMC Machinist will be responsible for learning the principles and practices of CNC machining, as well as the operation of CNC machines. The trainee will work under the supervision of a CNC Machinist and will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including:
Setting up and operating CNC machines
Programming CNC machines
Machining parts to specifications
Maintaining CNC machines
Ensuring the quality of machined parts
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Strong understanding of CNC machining principles and practices
Experience with CNC programming software
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Responsibilities:
Learn the principles and practices of CNC machining

Program CNC machines
Machine parts to specifications
Maintain CNC machines
